Alachua, FL - $10 1929 Ty. 2 The First National Bank Ch. # 8980
PMG Very Fine 25.A truly rare note from the only bank to issue in this small north Florida community. The census shows just five large and three small examples extant from this location. This offering is one of the three Series 1929 notes in the census and the first such piece that we have been able to offer. One of the other two reported notes has never appeared at public sale while the other, another $10 in an impaired PMG Fine 12 holder, brought $4,800 at auction almost four years ago. This is an evenly circulated and problem free example displaying just honest wear. A great opportunity to acquire a more than acceptable small size note from this rare Florida charter.
