Crescent City, FL- Peoples Bank $1 ___, 1933 Benice-Listed (Page 177) Mitchell-Schafer FL130-1d Remainder PMG Superb Gem Unc 67 EPQ.Crescent City is located in Putnam County in northeastern Florida. The Peoples Bank was one of a significant number of Florida financial institutions that had Cashiers Checks prepared for use during the 1933 Banking Holiday. Most sources agree that the notes were never issued. This $1 denomination has a green underprint incorporating elements of the Florida coat of arms. A premium condition example free of any forms of cancellation.
