Description

Hornell, NY - $20 1902 Plain Back Fr. 652 The First NB Ch. # 262
A pleasing example from this more elusive western New York issuer. Hornell, located in western Steuben County, was the host to two national banks (this piece from the first to open), but both failed within two months of each other in 1932. Fine-Very Fine, with plenty of crispness remaining along with an interesting rubber stamped "Ass't" in front of "Cashier."
