First Ever Public Offering

Tuckahoe, NJ - $20 1902 Plain Back Fr. 652 The Tuckahoe NB Ch. # 8681
A legendary New Jersey rarity from a bank we never thought we would have the opportunity to handle. Not one example from this excessively rare Cape May County institution has ever been offered at public sale to the many collectors of south Jersey notes, with the three known pieces (one large, two small) having been in the holdings of long established New Jersey collectors for the better part of two generations. A mere $660 was outstanding in large notes from this bank when it went under in August of 1934, making the survival of this specimen a mere happenstance. PCGS Fine 15, with two color signatures and no flaws whatever, a wonderful New Jersey trophy note if ever there was one.
