PCGS 67PPQ 1914 Red Seal Ten
Fr. 893b $10 1914 Red Seal Federal Reserve Note PCGS Superb Gem New 67PPQ.PCGS has graded this and two others at the 67PPQ level with none higher--that does not quite tell the whole story as only a total of four 67PPQs have been graded for all the $10 Red Seal numbers combined. The note itself is glorious with huge margins, ideal color, and top-quality eye appeal. In September 2008, we sold an identical PCGS 67PPQ (three digits away from this note) for $37,375. While the market was stronger then, this note is every bit as rare and every bit the equal of that piece. On today's market, our estimate of $25,000 may prove to be a touch conservative.
