Description
North Carolina April 2, 1776 $2 1/2 Hand clasping thirteen arrows PCGS Apparent Extremely Fine 40.The emblem and motto remain clear and distinct on this $2 1/2 note. The motto is VIS UNITATE, which means "the power of unity." As is easily seen, the note was severed and reattached at some point by a hand that unfortunately lacked skill. Edge splits have been repaired and a repair is seen at the upper left corner. Although faded, all four signatures can still be discerned.
