Midland, TX - $20 1902 Plain Back Fr. 653 The First NB Ch. # 4368A just plain rare note from the city which served as the hotbed of Texas National Bank Note collectors for three decades. Only five large and two small notes are reported despite decades of searching, with two of the five large specimens ensconced in the unyielding hands of the Moody Foundation. Track & Price lists only two offerings during the past quarter century, one back in 1985 and this note in its only auction appearance as part of the Irish holdings in 1997. PMG Very Good 10, with a more than acceptable appearance for the grade.
