Cincinnati, OH - $50 Original Fr. 442 The Merchants NB Ch. # 844$50 Original Series notes are among the very rarest types in Nationals, with the census listing only 23 pieces. Four of that number come from Ohio, three from Cincinnati and one from Geneva. This is one of those four, and likely the most affordable of that quartet. PMG has graded this Good 6, and noted splits, which are indeed present. For a note in this grade, however, the colors are decent, the signatures bold, and the appearance all one could hope for in such a well circulated piece. So few of these notes are known that any estimate here is but a surmise, but it would not surprise us at all to see a realization in the range of...
