Sacramento, CA - $50 1882 Date Back Fr. 559 The NB of D O Mills & Co. Ch. # (P)2014A newly discovered California rarity which has to rank among the neatest notes of the year to be offered from this state. It comes from the one bank in the state capital that issued this extremely scarce type and denomination, with an issue totaling a mere 339 pieces, not sheets. This is the only reported $50 Second Charter Date Back from Sacramento, and, fortunately for collectors, it is a truly attractive piece, with broad margins, bright paper, oversize pen signatures, and loads of eye appeal.
