Providence, RI- Phenix Bank $5 Aug. 20, 1861 G28b Durand 1814 PMG Choice Fine 15.The $5 design features an eagle and federal shield vignette that shares space with an oversize "5." A farm girl holding a sheaf of grain is at left and a Native American woman representing Liberty is at right. A large red script FIVE protector completes the design. Scarce and seldom offered.
