Continental Currency January 14, 1779 $45 PMG About Uncirculated 50.
The note is boldly printed in red and black with an emblem on the face of two beehives protected in a shed with the motto SIC FLORET RESPUBLICA (Therefore the republic will flourish). The back sports a nature print of ground ivy. The signatures of William Coats and Levi Budd are clear and dark. PMG mentions some relatively light uniform staining that covers perhaps two thirds of the note.
