The Brunswick Valley Colony of Eastern Pennsylvania was officially launched on August 7, 1897, when newspaper articles reported that twenty colonists had commenced farming on 300 acres in Schuykill County. The colonists used standard format Labor Exchange notes like these three consecutively serial numbered, fully issued, examples to pay for labor and the goods purchased by colonists. The colony's fate is presently unknown although most of the cooperatives were abandoned by the turn of the century. (Total: 3 notes)
