Freehold, NJ- Freehold Banking Co. $5 18__ G8b Proof PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.The $5 design incorporates a wonderful panoramic vignette that covers the entire width of the note. It depicts a man on horseback driving sheep at center, flanked by scenes of farmers shearing sheep at left and farmers harvesting at right. A light red overall tint and large brick red and white FIVE-V-FIVE protector complete the design. The note is printed on India paper with four POCs in the signature lines. PMG notes a number of repairs, including a long sealed tear, most easily observed from the back. While a large number of this variety appeared in the 1990 ABNCo Archives sale, it remains popular due to its beauty and artistic presentation.
