Description
T29 $10 1861 PF-1 Cr. 237 PMG Choice Fine 15.Printed by Blanton Duncan, the "wild child" of Confederate printers, this design features a vignette of a slave picking cotton. Counterfeiters, sensing an easy score due to the note's rather basic design, got most of that pretty well, but botched the imprint, showing R. Duncan rather than B. Duncan. This genuine example was previously mounted with four stamp hinges on the back in the corners.
