Description
Austin, TX- Travis County 25¢ Sep. 18, 1862 Medlar 154 PMG Very Good 10.Printed in blue ink with a red "Twenty-Five Cents." protector, this county note was payable in Texas state warrants or Confederate treasury notes when sums of $5 or its multiples were presented. PMG notes minor repairs that are not readily discernable. This design is seldom encountered and is very scarce with only a small handful of examples known at present. Ex. Schingoethe Collection.
