Philadelphia, PA- Kensington Bank in the County of Philadelphia $1 Jan. 15, 1862 G4a Hoober 305-313 Very Good.The Kensington Bank was a long-lived institution in business from 1826 until it became the Kensington National Bank (Charter 544) in 1864. Printed by ABNCo, this note has twin green "1" protectors to thwart photographic counterfeits. On the day this note is datelined, Edwin Stanton became Secretary of War in the Lincoln administration.
