The T69 contemporary writing reads, "Received from a Johnny for Hard / Tack / at Camp Douglass / Ill / July 1864 / L.P. Langer / Corp Co. F / 196 Reg P(ennsyvania) V(olunteers)." "Camp Douglas" was one of the largest Union Army POW camps for Confederate soldiers. It was south of Chicago. (Total: 5 notes)
