HB-29 EP-34 Scott-15 Reed-AS03SM 3¢ Ayer's Sarsaparilla Small Ayer's Fine.Numerical grade: 30case.30mica.40stamp. = 100.
A small hole has been drilled at 12 o'clock and our grade reflects this fact. The stamp is centered and there is a wrinkle, which probably occurred when the piece was assembled. The mica is in nice condition as crazing is found only around the drilled hole and along a horizontal line at center. There are a couple of spots on the olive-gold advertising side. Reed considers this number an R-2, 51-100 known, but we believe the Small Ayer's variety is many times scarcer than its Medium and Large variety counterparts.
