Troy, NY- John Flagg & Co. 5¢ July 12, 1862This merchant scrip is hand signed by the issuer. A few years later, Flagg sold his business and it eventually became Frear's Department Store. This example is snappy, yet well circulated, and was once mounted with stamp hinges. Very Good.
