New York, NY- Chemical Bank $3 Counterfeit Sep. 12, 1830Counterfeits of Obsolete notes are interesting to collect. At least one other counterfeit is being offered in this auction. This particular example is a counterfeit as the poorly engraved portrait of Martin Van Buren will attest to. A few small repairs are noticed. Very Good. The Chemical Bank was originally the Chemical Manufacturing Co. and operated from 1824-65.
