Scarce 1897 $2 Red-Brown Back
Canada Dominion of Canada $2 2.7.1897 DC-14a PMG Very
Fine 20 Net.Scarce in all grades, only the first 700,000 notes were printed with a red-brown back before the color scheme was changed. This design, which was executed by the American Bank Note Co. location in Ottowa, features an engraved fishing scene at center with Edward, the Prince of Wales at left. A repair is mentioned for accuracy on this highly desirable and scarce note.
