1.3.1923 Pick S353.Apart from Hong Kong, the HSBC issued the most notes from its home base in Shanghai, from the early years of its establishment to notes of this 1923 series when issuing rights were transferred to Chinese banks and eventually the Central Bank of China. All features from the brilliant underprint colors to the embossing on the rosettes and deeply inked signatures are excellent. This example is tied for the finest graded of this type.
