Curacao Curacaosche Bank 25 Centen 1892 Pick A51 PMG Very Fine 30.
In 1892, the Curacaosche Bank issued a four denomination series that was convertible to coinage minted in precious metals. This is the initial denomination of that series, and only 8,000 united were printed. We have not offered this type in the past. At the time of cataloging, this is the first and only example of the type graded by PMG. It features fresh paper and colors, with typical signatures on the back. Small traces of mounting remnants are mentioned for accuracy. The first we have offered and only the third presented by a major auction in the last decade. Part of a complete 1892 set offered in today's extraordinary sale of Curacao banknotes.
