Sarawak Government of Sarawak 1 Dollar 1.1.1935 Pick 20 PMG Superb Gem Unc 67 EPQ.Government notes from Sarawak are extremely popular with collectors today. It is currently one of two Malaysian states on the island of Borneo. Exotic and tropical motifs grace both sides of this handsome note printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Company. It is worth mentioning that the overwhelming majority of extant examples of this note are found in rather poor quality due to the extreme climate where these notes circulated. It is nothing short of a miracle that this note was plucked from a bundle and saved, avoiding climate and storage issues in the tropics. At the time of cataloging, it is bettered by only one solitary note in the PMG Population Report. An iconic design featuring Rajah Charles V Brooke in superb original condition.
