Russia State Credit Notes 100 Rubles 1882 Pick A53 PMG Very Fine 25.
The rainbow colored 100 Rubles issued during the late 19th-century is one of the most famous of all Russian banknotes. Genuine examples are extremely rare, and this is the first example we have had the privilege to offer. 1882 is the first date of this design issued by the Gosudarstvenniy Bank. At the time of writing, PMG has graded a mere five pieces of this type across all known dates from 1882 to 1894. Standard circulation is seen on this example, which has an excellent eye appeal. Very rare, quite pretty, and missing from the most advanced collections. It is the cataloger's opinion that we can expect spirited bidding, come auction day.
