South Africa Gouvernements Noot, Pietersburg 20 Pounds 1.4.1901 Pick 63 Hern 496 PMG Extremely Fine 40.Middle denomination Pietersburg issue from the Second Anglo-Boer War. After Pretoria fell to the English forces, the South African Republic moved east to Pietersburg. Extant Government Notes from Pietersburg are scarce, as print totals were often times small. For instance, this denomination had a print total of 1000 notes for the April date. An annotation at top is mentioned for accuracy, along with a bundle hole and pinholes. A rare denomination.
