Australia / Fanning Island Plantations Ltd. 1 Pound ND (1942) Pick UNL Schwan-Boling SB1541a2 PMG Uncirculated 60 Net.Fanning Island, known today as Tabuaeran, is part of Kiribati. During World War II, it was part of the Gilbert and Ellice Islands, administered via Australia. This interesting and rare note lacks serial numbers but happily remains in Uncirculated grade despite a large stain. Most of these notes were split in two. Thankfully, this note was not.
