Description

Cincinnati, OH- Mechanics and Traders Bank $10 Nov. 18,1839 G10 Wolka 551-09
The Mechanics and Traders Bank opened in 1838 and voluntarily wound up its affairs in 1844. The next year it became a branch of the State Bank of Ohio. The bank was suspended in late 1854 and was wound up by a receiver appointed by the State Bank of Ohio. While this note is not particularly rare, its condition is a grade or two above that usually encountered and is about as nice as these come. Fine-Very Fine.
