PMG About Uncirculated 50.Quite a scarce $1,000 to locate in grades above Very Fine level, this 1928 Richmond Light Green Seal $1,000 has earned an About Uncirculated 50 grade from PMG. Only a meager 37 examples of this Friedberg have been graded by PMG according to their population report, across all grades. Just over a dozen notes have graded higher than the example presented in this lot, however those select few very rarely make auction appearances. The last LGS example that we had the pleasure of offering was during our 2024 Long Beach Auction, when a PMG 63 EPQ graded note brought over $10,000.
