Description

Tied for Finest Known 1929 $50 Dallas FRBN

Fr. 1880-K $50 1929 Federal Reserve Bank Note. PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.
A true rarity at this grade level, the Dallas $50 FRBN presented in this lot is tied for the highest graded example across all grading services. Just two others are tied at this level in the PMG Population Report, together this trio represents the only Gems, since there are none at the 65 EPQ level. It has now been exactly a decade since we offered this Friedberg at the 66 level, when we offered this exact note during our 2015 FUN Auction. That offering resulted in a realization of nearly $10,000 ten years ago, so expect to see that price eclipsed when the gavel falls on this impressive Dallas $50.
