Incredible High Denomination Penang Specimen

Straits Settlements Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China, Penang 20 Dollars ND (1875-1907) Pick S103s KNB9S Specimen PMG Choice Uncirculated 63.
The earliest, private issue banknotes of the Straits Settlements are exceptionally rare in any format. The Malaysian state of Penang was incorporated into the British Empire by Francis Light in 1786 and was later one of the founding colonies to form the Straits Settlements in 1867. This high denomination Specimen created for the Chartered Bank of India, Australia, and China's office of emission in George Town. At the time of cataloging, this is the first and only example of this denomination graded in the PMG Population Report, across all possible formats. Two tasteful Specimen overprints were applied to this prototype. Exceptionally rare and one of only a few Penang Specimen known to exist for any issuer.

PMG Choice Uncirculated 63。
