Hong Kong Mercantile Bank of India, Ltd. 5 Dollars 1.12.1937 Pick 235c KNB11d-e PMG Very Fine 30.An especially scarce banknote from this famed issuer in Hong Kong. Much scarcer than Chartered Bank and HSBC issues of the same era. In fact, only 20,000 notes of this date were issued. PMG mentions repairs on this bright and clean example. Rare in any grade.
