One of Only Three $50 Gold Stars Graded Uncirculated
Fr. 2404* $50 1928 Gold Certificate Star. PCGS Banknote Choice
Unc 63.A beautiful $50 Gold star, this offering sports a bold orange overprint, dark inks, blast white paper, and an appearance fully worthy of its grade. It is one of only three $50 Gold stars that have been graded higher than Choice AU as listed in the Track & Price census out of a total population of just 45 replacement notes. Of the three Uncirculated star notes, this is the only example to have crossed the auction block since the Long Beach 2019 auction when we offered a PMG Choice 63 EPQ example which realized a very strong $90,000.
