Extremely Rare Provisional Peking Issue of 1912

China Bank of China 5 Dollars, Peking 1909 (ND 1912) Pick 17d S/M#C294-2d PMG Very Fine 30.
The Bank of China's first series of banknotes was a provisional series, overprinted on old stock of Ta Ching Government notes and released into circulation while a new banknote series was being prepared. These overprinted notes were issued sometime in 1912, while a fresh series of notes dated 1912 were not issued until later that year or soon thereafter. At the time of cataloging, this is one of only two examples graded in the PMG Population Report. Pinholes and notations are mentioned for accuracy. A fantastic and very rare 5 Dollars from the very first issue from the Bank of China. The first we have offered.

稀罕少見的1912年北京臨時發行伍圓

1909年（1912年）大清銀行兌換券加蓋改作中國銀行兌換券伍圓，北京地名。PMG Very Fine 30。
由於新鈔尚在準備當中，故中國銀行的首套鈔票乃於大清銀行兌換券的庫存票上加蓋而成，屬臨時發行。這批加蓋鈔票發行於1912年，而印有1912年年份的新鈔票要到年末或1913年年初才真正發行。截至編目時，此為PMG數量報告的兩例之一。票面帶有註銷孔和批注。這張伍圓為中國銀行的最早發行，珍罕萬分有如鳳毛麟角，為敝公司首次經手，令人歎為觀止。
