Fr. 1225h $10,000 1900 Gold Certificate PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.
The signature of Deputy Assistant Treasurer of the United States F.J.F. Thiel remains bold on this unredeemable note. This example has "Assistant" at top center blacked out and an added "Deputy" at bottom center. It has a date of "Nov. 22, 1916" at center, too. Minor varieties of these $10,000 notes exist that are not detailed in the Friedberg reference. It was perforation cancelled by the Treasury.
