Attractive Fr. 220 Gem Martha Ace
Fr. 220 $1 1886 Silver Certificate PCGS Gem New 65.A lovely Gem example of the second scarcest of the nine Friedberg numbers that comprise the popular Martha design is offered here. In fact, Fr. 220 is outnumbered by Fr. 223 by ratio of over 8-to-1. This is one of the finest known for this tough number with only a solitary PMG 66 EPQ note (which has never been publicly offered) outranking it in grade. This well margined piece features sharp corners, white paper, and ideal inks. Two years ago, we auctioned a PCGS Banknote Gem Unc 65 PPQ example for $10,200.
