Delightful $2 1899 Silver Certificate Star Note
Fr. 256* $2 1899 Silver Certificate Star PMG Choice Uncirculated
64 EPQ.A pristine example of this scarce $2 Silver Certificate star note of which there are just 68 examples recorded in the Track & Price Census, this note is currently in second place in the PMG Population Report out of a total of the 27 Fr. 256 star notes registered there, with the next highest grade below it being a Choice Extremely Fine 45 EPQ example. This note has certainly earned its grade, as it is sharply printed on bright paper with great colors and surfaces as well as excellent embossing - an attribute only infrequently mentioned by PMG, seen here as "Exceptional Paper Quality & Embossing" on the back of the holder.
