Description

Albany, NY- Debt for the Payment of Bounties to Volunteers $100,000 Bond July 1, 1866
Over the years, we have seen a handful of bonds from this issue of much smaller amounts, but nothing coming even close to $100,000. The National Bank Note Co. engraved this bond with a wonderful main vignette of Liberty, Justice, and Defense plus an American Eagle watching Federal troops marching toward victory. Extremely Fine, CC.
