China Board of Revenue 1 Tael 1854 (Yr. 4) Pick A9b S/M#H176-100 PMG Very Fine 25.
A scarce Board of Revenue note from the Ch'ing Dynasty. Notes denominated in Taels are much scarcer than the similar Cash series. A spindle hole at issue and handsome written notations are mentioned for accuracy. At the time of cataloging, PMG has graded only 37 examples of this denomination with a Year 4 date.
