Fr. 7 $10 1861 Demand Note PMG Very Fine 20.This well printed and evenly circulated example of this scarce Ten Dollar Philadelphia Demand Note is one of just 50 numbers reported, with about one-third of those pieces listed with some kind of impairment. This offering, which is, happily, problem-free and solid for the grade, is well up in the grade census with PMG having graded only two examples above the 30 level. The note has attractive color, strong pen signatures, and excellent eye appeal for the assigned grade. By way of comparison, we recently auctioned a repaired PMG Very Fine 25 example for $10,200. This problem free note should do equally well.
