Description
Well Preserved 1934 Boston $10,000 64 EPQ
Fr. 2231-A $10,000 1934 Federal Reserve Note. PMG Choice
Uncirculated 64 EPQ.A well preserved plate letter A Boston $10,000 with full margins, excellent color, natural paper wave, and serial number A00000127A. Our consignor acquired it at auction in 2015 and up to that time, it was unknown to the numismatic community at large. The winning bid that night was slightly over $223,000. PMG has graded two other examples equal and only one Fr. 2231-A higher, and that by a single grade point out of the total of 19 that they have examined. We auctioned another example of this Friedberg number also with the grade of PMG 64 EPQ that is only two serial numbers removed from our current offering. That offering realized $336,000 in May 2024. One year later, the charming piece in this lot should continue that upward climb.
