Attractive $5 New York Demand Note
Fr. 1 $5 1861 Demand Note PMG Very Fine 20.An evenly circulated good looking Demand Note, this country's original "Greenback." PMG has mentioned a restoration, and they are indeed correct, although the work is only visible after close examination. Both signatures are strong and the note has wholesome overall eye appeal. Last year, two other examples, both in PMG Very Fine 20 holders, sold at auction for at least $4,000.
