Description

Austin, TX- Republic of Texas $2 Apr. 1, 1841 Cr. A2 Medlar 22 PMG About Uncirculated 55 Net.
Authorized by the Act of December 14, 1838, these small denomination notes were issued in response to the need for smaller denominations in day to day commerce. This $2 has a central vignette depicting a cowboy roping a steer. PMG has net graded this note for tape repairs of the cancellations on the back. Nonetheless, this is about as nice as these notes come and fits well into any Texas collection.
