Description

Dandridge, TN- Dandridge Bank $10-$20 July 1, 1854 G8P-G10P Garland 281-283 Proof Pair PMG Choice Uncirculated 63, POCs.
A nicely preserved black and white Proof pair, this set resides in a comment free holder. Only the margins keep this desirable example from a higher grade. This is our first offering of these two numbers as Proofs. The short-lived Dandridge Bank was the first bank to open in Jefferson County. Years of operation were 1854-60, with the first president being local merchant John Roper. The $10 has eight POCs and the $20 has nine POCs.
