Fr. 257* $2 1899 Mule Silver Certificate Star PMG Very Fine
25.PMG has certified a grand total of three examples of this number, with our current offering occupying the "top pop" spot in the PMG Population Report for the Fr. 257* Mule variation. We have auctioned one representative of that count, a PMG Choice Fine 15 graded piece which realized $1,410 in September 2016. With the market for rare Large Size currency expanding a great deal in recent years, our conservative estimate could very well be overtaken tonight for this elusive note.
