Charming $1,000 1928 FRN Grading PMG 65 EPQ
Fr. 2210-G $1,000 1928 Federal Reserve Note. PMG Gem
Uncirculated 65 EPQ.PMG has graded only three Fr. 2210-G examples higher and that trio is just one grade point higher than the note with serial G00005458A in this lot. This piece is a well preserved beauty with the "gold on demand" obligation clause. This charming note displays bold embossing of both serial numbers and the Treasury seal. We also see excellent color and natural paper wave plus the broad margins of this plate letter J example have retained two paper guide line markers at upper left and at upper center. This is the nicest Fr. 2210-G example to appear at auction since this same note crossed the auction block in 2018 for $9,600. This is also the highest graded example to cross our auction block since we had serial number G00005455A grading PMG 65 EPQ realize $13,042 in August 2017.
