Fort Howard, WI - $10 1882 Brown Back Fr. 485 The McCartney
National Bank Ch. # 4783 PMG Choice Fine 15.A better Brown County bank, this institution opened in 1892 and operated until 1931. The note seen here features the much scarcer first title of Fort Howard before it changed its name to Green Bay. According to the National Bank Note Census, this sought-after Wisconsin National is one of only six $10 Brown Backs reported on CH# 4783. With plenty of eye appeal for the grade, this purple-stamped signature National is sure to please its new owner.
