EPQ.This Choice Uncirculated 1878 $5 Legal features lovely color and beautiful blue silk fibers on the bottom half. A woodchopper with his wife, baby, and dog are featured at the center. This is the vignette from which this type derives its nickname of the "Woodchopper" note. Red serial numbers and a large overprint are present on the face. We auctioned a PMG 64 EPQ in September 2023 for $2,520.
