Fr. 64 $5 1869 Legal Tender PMG About Uncirculated 55.AU examples from the 1869 Legal Rainbow series are always in high demand, and the note in this lot is no exception. Blue, green, and red colors on the face meld to fashion a very aesthetically pleasing piece. A portrait of Andrew Jackson is featured at left, and at center is the well known vignette of a woodchopper with his family. We auctioned a PMG Choice AU 58 example in September 2024 for $3,240. PMG mentions minor rust on our current offering which is hidden in the design.
