Galveston, TX - $100 1902 Plain Back Fr. 707 The United States National Bank Ch. # 12475 PMG Very Fine 30.A most attractive "Forbidden Title" high denomination note, this example comes from a Galveston bank which received its charter in 1923, shortly before Congress put a stop to such names going forward. One of six $100 Plain Backs in the census, it is a bright, well margined note with good color and even wear.
